Hi everybody,

I just download a trial version of Poser 13. After installation and when I first started it, I tried to add new libraries to it.
I have a big runtime library from previous installations on a second internal SSD that I could effortlessly import in Poser 11 by clicking the "add library" button, selecting the Runtime folder and voila... there it was.

Exactly this is not possible with Poser 13. There, the Runtime library remains empty, showing no content.
Interestingly enough, a My DAZ 3D library, which is on the same SSD is imported without any problems...

What am I doing wrong?

I have not encountered that problem at all, but I do not have a trial version of P13.  It works like every other version.  There is a script built-in where you can import all your runtimes from P11, P12 and Poser 2014.

In the meantime I was able to import the Runtime files when I only select the SSD as source, not the Runtime folder.

However, when I try the same with my Poser 11 Runtime, only some files are found, but not the ones I add to my Poser 11 library... really strange

How is your runtime set up?  Is the folder within a primary folder?

No, it's a folder on the SSD

The runtime folder should not be a free-standing folder on your drive.  It should be the secondary folder of a primary folder.  For example, Poser 13 Content folder contains 1 runtime for your content.  Any other custom runtime folder must be nested within the primary folder.

This is what my custom folders look like in the browser.  Each folder contains 1 runtime folder for content, indicated by the arrows.

This is the hierarchy structure you should be following, otherwise, you will have problems in the future.  Also, you cannot nest runtime folders within runtime folders, Poser will never recognize nor see those contents.

Screencap your runtimes, I want to get some idea what is going on with your files and where they are located.  Now unless the trial version or P13 is restricting access then that is something that will resolve itself once you upgrade the program.

My runtimes are spread over my computer. I just want to know where Poser stores new addition to the Poser 11 library

The folders are Downloads, Purchased, and Included as well as runtime, all are found under the Poser 11 Content folder within your public share folder.  As for imported runtime folders, they remain where you have them.

As someone already said, when you use Add Library, the folder you select MUST be a folder one level above  your Runtime. 

For instance, my V4 Clothes are in a folder on an external drive. The folder is called V4 Clothes, within it is a folder called Runtime, and within that is all the content that I installed. When P13 prompts you to add a Library, you would select the V4 clothes folder and it is added.

The folder is not moved or changed in any way. The folder technically can be added to P13, 12, 11, furore 14, etc.
