Hi,

I got directed into this forum by a guy who's an Admin. for a user group for other software I use.

The point of why is because I need to learn Poser 12 completely. I'm a total newbie about this software. Being a Bryce user for 23 years has handicapped me about using other 3D software since it's so different.

Bought this version thanks to the sale that just started.

Please help me with the idiot's version for learning. Not YouTube videos which are hard to see what is going on and done on a Mac when I'm using Windows.

Poser for Mac and Poser for Windows is the same except you would use ctrl instead of the command button. There are some tutorials here https://www.renderosity.com/premium-tutorials?section_id=1  that are well done. Some are for older versions but the basics are the same.

What are you trying to do that's causing you trouble?

Strange that the MAC version is any different than the Windows version, I don't see the difference.  And to be perfectly honest, I believe that you will benefit from video examples rather than drawn-out text tutorials with limited illustrations.  There are dozens of tutorial-like threads throughout the forum, some are obsolete, and others are lost deep in the archives.  Your best option is to open the Poser Manual, either through the software or Posersoftware.com for the web-based edition, and seriously peruse the chapters.  There is quite a lot of material to cover and the manual is extensive.  Otherwise, you can post a thread in the forum for specific help and information.  Consider that learning everything about Poser 12 will take time and devotion as well as experimentation.

Take a quick look through the forum at the different topics covered and see if those threads help you make sense of the software.

The Poser 11 video set is excellent. But if you need books there are some. They're rather old now, but the Internet Archive has scans of good introductory books. Such as Practical Poser 8: The Official Guide; Poser 7 Revealed: the e frontier official guide; The Art of Poser and Photoshop: the official guide. They'll still be valid in terms of the basic Poser UI and workflow.
