I'm still using 11 on a Mac that's too old for 13, but I'm curious about this: "Improvements to Comic Book Preview Draw Last feature". Can you say more? My impression had been that Comic Book Preview works in 12 and 13 pretty much as it does in 11.

That sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out. I have Poser 13, but still mostly use Poser 11.

I'm no comic book artist, but I can tell you that the improvements stemmed from collaboration with comic book artist Brian Haberlin.

Poser 13 supports older Macs going back to Catalina ...
Can't run Catalina ... still on Mojave.
So I shall have to do without Poser 13 and stay with Poser 11.

In Poser 11 the real-time Comic Book could have very tiny 'chips' in the line-art. I did a demo which showed how to partially fix this (force a redraw, get very slightly different linework, then composite the two real-time renders in Photoshop after 'knocking out white'). I think this must have been the improvement that was then added for the Comic Book Preview inking lines in Poser 12.
I don't yet know what the improvement is in the new version of Poser 13.
Randy, using Comic Book Preview is really easy. There's a short video here... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkN8dN-FtGI It's also trivially easy to use a Firefly preset to get a Firefly line-art render.

Thanks, I understand how it's supposed to work. The results just never look the same for me as in the tutorials. I'm guessing I'm using the wrong lighting or textures.

I worked with p12 succesfully on Catalina. Then P13 appears and I "graded" up to Ventura via open source legacy patcher. Now P13 worked but with difficulties with the Library when you add too many runtimes (up from P5). Then there was the upgrade that should work with Catalina and I have to think abaot a downgrade back to catalina or to find an Solution for the mac/Library. On win the P13 works with win 10, but slow. For A-Sunbeam, you could try OSLP (Freeware) to upgrade to Catalina. But with care and Backup. An advice: First boot from a stick, and when P13 works then change the boot-sequenz. Do somebody have experiences with P13-Library in Ventura or below? kind regards

Thank you, I'll look into it. And I'll have to save up for P13 - rather short of cash this last while!

To A_Sunbeam
P13 is working now on Ventura, but with a smaller amount of runtimes (max 30 maybe a restriction on data amount?) but Firefly works different to P12-The Skin is by default different to P12 (same scene). Because I am creating a Comic Story its more work to get the same colors so I still work with P12 for this story and make pictures with Superfly/P13 both installed on the same machine with identical runtimes now up from P8. By the way. The newest release of OSLP can already install the Sonoma-Beta.
kind regards
