Hello everyone, I have the following problem.
I tried to create hair and the program stopped working with an error 3-4 times (usually when using the Grouping Tool) after which my Poser 13 became very slow when I load an object from the library (specifically the genesis 2 female figure) or when you rotate the camera, everything freezes for a second or two. I tried reinstalling the program but nothing helped, I tried to clean the files in the user folder or delete temp files, but nothing helped either. It seems that some kind of error has been registered in the system, but I can't figure out exactly where.
Perhaps there is something else, but these friezes appeared exactly after the program crashed several times, before that the program worked fine.
Version 13.1.449

I don't know if it will help since you said a reinstall didn't help, but there is a newer version of Poser available.
Something else. When you reinstalled, did you write over the old one, or did you uninstall first? I vaguely remember someone having a problem that reinstalling didn't fix. There was a recommendation of using Geek uninstaller to remove every trace of the program and then reinstalling it, which worked. I don't know if that will help or not.

Thank you for your reply!
Yes, I first completely deleted the program, and then installed it again.
Interestingly, I will try to use the Geek uninstaller utility,
thank you!

It's believed this is caused by Windows "Background Activity Monitor" It's supposed to prioritize network traffic on the computer. Library loads work through the network even if the library is local. (The library window is really just a stripped down Chrome web browser.)
The "BAM" seems to incorrectly force all the library processes into a background thread. If you're brave (or crazy) the relevant registry key is here:
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\
Cleaning out all references for Poser in that key seems to rectify this condition. And, don't even try it unless you know what a registry key is and why messing with the wrong one will crash your computer.

The problems came back again, but it seems I was able to figure it out ๐
I found the log file at: c:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive\
There are 21 folders with Poser errors (NonCritical_Poser.exe) and in each folder there is a file (Report.wer) with the following wording:
EventType=FaultTolerantHeap
I tried to look for what this means, some users had the same problems for quite a long time with iClone 6.4 or some other 3d programs, and just renaming the folder helped them. I tried to do the same, for example, the folder was called Poser 13, I renamed it Poser 13 1 and the problems disappeared! At least 2 days without problems.
So if anyone has similar problems, then just try to rename the main folder with the program. Because of this, no other errors occurred, all paths to the libraries remained working!

Interestingly, maybe yes, problems appeared because of this! I use Opera for the library, the library inside the program is not very convenientIt's believed this is caused by Windows "Background Activity Monitor" It's supposed to prioritize network traffic on the computer.
