Anytime you unsubscribe from a newsletter - on any site, it can actually take a few days to go into effect.
It's weirder that those products were released as new when they are older ones being retired but for some reason got re-released as new. That's usually only for products that have been updated enough to warrant a re-release.

Well, on the bright side, apparently you don't need to unsubscribe. They bumblingly removed all of the retiring OneSix products 2 days early, and then had to replace them. Thus the "new" products.
