Having made the jump from P-11 to 13, I am not confronted by a problem in the Material Room.  How do I change it to the basic view that was in P-11?

On the left panel where it lists the material zones on the selected item, click on the box to the right of any of the materials.

But that takes me to the edit page which has the complex view...

The basic view was removed in favor of the setup that is there now.

No idea why they removed the Simple tab versus just adding a new Assign tab.

I only ever use the Edit tab, but can see how the Simple one being gone could be an issue if you used the Simple one previously.

Put a request ticket in to put that panel back. Just from your question it is obvious you used it, and miss it.

Thank you for confirming that I'm not crazy.  That will show the little voices in my head!

The Simple Materials view was only capable of displaying "Poser 4" style materials. For modern figures is only really broke materials. Anything with sub surface or any sort of SuperFly materials would just get scrambled. There's just now way to represent a node based material that way. We're investigating ways to bring something similar to future versions but it won't be the old "simple" view.
