I want a Grecian robe for a female priest and can't find one. Looking around on the Marketplace I found one I rather like, but it's for the "G8 Fem", and articles I find about that model indicate that it might or might not really work well in Poser... Sigh. If it does work, and if I need it for using the robe, I can someone tell me where to get it? So far I haven't found the model, just a robe I want that says it's for that model and indications that the model might not work so well...
But the bottom line, really, is that I want a Greek robe for my priestess...

What are you calling a Grecian robe? Is that just a toga? Can you post a sample image? G8 Fem isn't sold here. You can get her at Daz. But she's not easy to get into Poser.

Not particular about the robe. Right now my priestess scenes are all nudes, which sometimes works but sometimes not so much. That said, I do really like one I found over at the Marketplace:
https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/158185/jmr-dforce-sofronia-greek-dress-for-g8f
And thank you for the comment about G8F. You said "not easy". But it's doable? Hmm. Sounds like I don't want to try though.
What would you think of the chances of the robe working on some other model than G8F? I'd just try it out, but it does cost a few bucks, and I try to avoid spending money on things I don't know will work...

There isn't much information to go on. Which model would you like to use in your scene? Should the clothing be dynamic or conforming? Still-image render or animation?
As RedPhantom commented, the DAZ3D Genesis 8 Female model is not easy to import into Poser, in general, unless you have the DSON importer and the free Genesis 3 Updater installed into Poser 11. However, clothing is easier to import and manipulate as a dynamic prop but will require additional preparation to accurately fit the model in question.
More details are needed about what apps you have installed at your disposal to make this happen,

I just checked the weblink on the item, I wouldn't waste the time or money on it unless you're using DAZStudio. It is not worth the energy to try converting or importing if you are using it for one project. In addition, it's not historically accurate even for a period fantasy. Not particular about the robe. I basically have nothing but what came with Poser. Thank you so much for your answers. They helped a lot.

Don't give up so easily. Try a free content site like RenderHub, ShareCG, etc. Those sites might have something worth considering. However, as I mentioned before, you need to specify the model you are using, otherwise, you may find content unsuitable to use.

Sorry. Yes... I'm using one of several models that came with Poser 13, but especially Roxie and Pauline.
And I will go check out RenderHub and ShareCG. And how would I go about finding other sites worth looking at? I think I've seen ShareCG mentioned somewhere, but I think it was in passing, on some other subject.
I took a look at those two sites -- and it looks like I can find something there that will work well. Thanks again.
One of the robes I like is for Stephanie 3, and she's almost $50, but DAZ says she works with Poser, and the robe says it's for her (and it's only about $9), so I may try that. On the other hand, inspired by the conversations here, I may have found a Satanic robe (free!) somewhere (will have to go back and find it again), but it was, I think, under Renderosity Freestuff.
Anyway, I'm feeling like I now have enough information to make it all work. Thanks again.
And WOW -- what those two sites have. For a few $$. But WOW!

Thanks again! And Victoria (for whom I've seen other interesting stuff too) looks to be only about $30...

I wouldn't quickly spend money on Stephanie 3 or Victoria 4 models just yet unless they are integral to your needs. Occasionally, DAZ3D will rotate content biweekly through their freebie section and, if you are lucky, might be able to download V4 for free. I haven't seen that many Generation 3 models (V3, Stephanie 3, M3, etc.) appear in the freebie section, there isn't much demand for them anymore.

Hi
If it's not too late, you may have this, 100% dynamic which means that it will fit any character with very few adjustments

Keep in mind that while it's always easiest to use clothing with the figure it's made for, Poser does have a fitting room that can convert clothing from one figure to another.

And I hadn't a clue about dynamic clothing & the fitting room. This isn't something I forgot during my 20-year hiatus; it's something I never really ever got around to trying. I built stuff, but I relied on PhilC to the great clothing. Sooooo -- thanks, all of you, for pointing at dynamic clothing & the fitting room. Based on your answers, I've already adapted three pieces of clothing from other characters to work with Roxie. Very cool. I'm in the middle of adapting a dress that might well do for a robe. At any rate, I'm now on a quest through the Poser library for dynamic clothing that look interesting.
Awesome. Thanks.

If you are truly looking for a Greek clothing item then may I suggest these? Dynamic clothing can be used on practically any figure even without the fitting room but with just scaling, resizing and the morph brush tool.
I use clothing for Genesis 3, 8 and 9 on Victoria 4, La Femme and La Femme 2 all the time with this utility. You can convert a .duf file to a .pp2 and then fit it on the figure of your choice.

Ok, this a little outside the box ... But:

It's It is a nun costume for V4 but it can be customized and textured to hopefully fill your needs. I have used this for different images.

Those look awesome! I've added them to my Marketplace Cart and will purchase them later this morning. I think those will do wonderfully. Thank you very much.
