Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Mar 27 10:02 pm)
Just a small update, to sum up links for the last EZSkin version and the last plugin for skin:
Actually: it's V3.4:

The difference: an weird while border around Vic4's pupil. I've rebuilt the compound nodes for the iris, the sclera and the pupil, based on what Ghostship shared with us.

I just discovered I have to make eyebrows invisible for M3, or EZ_CycleSkin will give him white caterpillars.

EZSkin's Cycles for Skin plugin has been updated.
You nay download it from here, till CobraBlade's EZSkin page is updated:

Now, the face, the lips, the nipples and the standard skin may also receive an additional layer (using the AnisotropicBsdf node) by selecting the ..._gloss layer.
Full example:
Note that the face has 4 possibilities:
The strenth of the anisotropy relies on its Roughness parameter: lower value increases the gloss
The new layer is called Gloss, and it get deleted each time EZSkin rebuilds the whole materials. It looks like this:
And don't forget to save your new glossy characters for a future use:
Everything is saved each time EZSkin is closed.
Don't forget to use it with EZSkin 3.5:

The legend himself, Snarlygribbly. It's great to see you on here!
It goes without saying, but if it wasn't for your EZSkin (and Y-Phil's work on it now) a lot of us would never have bothered using SuperFly over Firefly.
Updated the mirror:
However, I did rename EZSkin.py back to EZSkin3.py to avoid confusion since the instructions and manuals all refer to it named that.

First, connecting external nodes to a compound node does not seem to always work as connecting standard nodes, I mean by using the InputByInternalName method, that's why I'm often using an index, not the best method but it works.
Then, the code you are speaking of is just a way to have convenient names. It's true that the code may not be adapted to the said node, as two identically labelled Value_2 node inputs must be exposed as inputs of the compound node, but labelled differently, a situation that I have avoided during the development of PBSDF addon.
That being said, did you check the online help for Poser?
Typically when it comes to Cycles, you may start here:
