remove floating extra prop hair?

this hair originally belonged to the guy just to the right, who has the same hair on his head but conformed to his original pose. now I cannot click on the extra hair and tell it to be gone. how can I get rid of it? I can't even identify it except by the name of the "good" hair, which disappears but this one doesn't???? no violence hear just overlapping fingers cause by moving the red haired one off the central pose spot...

It sounds like an error may have written into the Poser Scene.  Open the Hierarchy Editor and see if there are 2 hair props in the list.  One should be associated with the figure, the other may be associated to the Universe.  You might be able to delete it that way.
