It might be the volume step rate since that doesn't show on the Poser 12 settings. You might try changing that, though with 0 volume bounces I don't know if that would help.
You have an rtx card, have you tried the optix option? I find they're faster than just gpu renders.

I use Poser 13 and win 10
I had it so that the render was cut in have by using Optix, After a few renders, the program crashed. I'm going to start it up again and see what happens. I'm also going to close some background processes to give Poser more CPU and memory. That might help. I'll be back with my results. Thanks for your reply.
another tip. if your hardware can handle it, if you're using GPU or Optix rendering, larger bucket sizes will render faster. I used your settings but changed the bucket size to 1024 and it cut the Optix render time in half. As long as you have the Vram to handle the size of your scene, you could try that too.

The 3060 supports Optix. Turn ON progressive Refinement. The new engine is optimized for progressive.
Choose the Optix render device.Optix is as much as 10x faster. (40x faster than a comparable CPU render)
Adaptive sampling works differently in P13. Adaptive at "0.001" is actually much higher than P12. Try 0.005 or 0.01. The new system is non-linear and will take some getting used to,.

I just rendered 2 blank scenes. One in Poser 12 and the other in Poser 13. Both scenes were identical and the render settings virtually the same.
This is the settings for poser 12
Above is the settings for Poser 13.
Here are the log render times for each
My graphics card is set to allow the program to control the outcome as to AntiAliasing and lighting and such.
My question is why does it take longer to render in 13, than in 12? In 12, it takes a quarter of the time to render the same scene. Thanks.
