following the Manual, I want to save a piece of the dragon's mottled skin to use on a fantasy character, but it says the cursor will turn into an eyedropper and it doesn't. I anyway click on the cursor but the dragon's texture does not appear in the materials library. please tell me what I'm doing wrong...

You are not currently in the Material Room. To access the Material Room, click on the Material tab to the right of the Pose tab. To clarify, the eyedropper tool will only sample a color on a map and won't function as you intend it to. The mottled skin texture on the dragon is specific to its mesh and cannot be applied to other figures with different meshes. You'll need to paint the texture based on the intended figure's UV Map layout.

So, that way is closed because of complexity...is there a way to project a part to one figure onto another? Like in a movie when a person walks in front of the screen and his/her figure is mapped with the movie?

I don't know if the front image projection is possible for animation.

I’m NOT DOING animation, sorry if I gave that impression just doing a long graphic novel.
will front image projection show in manual?

It will not show in Superfly rendering. You might have some success with Firefly rendering because you can directly attach a texture to the light node.
