Returning for the moment to a historical vehicle, the de Havilland Vampire.  Development of the Vampire twin boom jet fighter began in 1941.  It entered British operational service in 1946.  Almost 3300 Vampires were built, many for use by other countries.  Here's an early toon render.

The canopy, still not quite finished, turned out to be a challenge.

The Vampire has a lot of moving parts and accounting for rigging has been a lot of work including putting test figures into Poser.  Here's a cartoon render of the nose gear:

The wing assembly is getting closer to completion.  Raising/lowering the main gear turned out to be a complex operation.  Some renders of the test article;

More cockpit work.  Starboard side, stick and pedals mostly done.  Port side next.

Now in Poser.  The figure has LOTS of moving parts and I think the most complex rigging I've done.  Less tan a quarter way through at the moment.
