Hello,
I've been using Poser for 17 years now. I just found out about Deepmotion and its Saymotion AI tool that creates animations (keyframes with or without characters) from prompts. it is quite a breakthrough and this tool alone can help animators such as myself immensely. the problem is I cannot export poser characters into it nor use the BVH output properly within poser. something with the way the characters are built is hindering the process.

I saw that there is a BVH to Poser converter—there is a YouTube tutorial—but I cannot find where to download the converter itself.

can anyone help? also, does anyone know if poser developers plan to give us AI tools for creating motion or make the next update compatible with such existing tools? everybody I know within the animation community tells me to just give up on Poser and move to DAZ, but I still have hopes. (also, if they are at it - they could give us integral support with G3/G8 characters. help us stay within the software we grew to learn and love <3 )

If they can get into Daz, then https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/152558/duf-pose-converter-for-poser-12 would be able to take the additional step into Poser.

Did you already try the BVH import that is available under File/Import? If that's what you're saying is not working, maybe that is a solvable problem with a little more detail.

I have tried. the BVH won't pass fluently since the figures it was generated for are differently-build than the poser ones. I tried importing a poser figure into Deepmotion, to no avail. also, after testing the tool a bit, my enthusiasm chilled. its still not there and simple animations comes out sub-par if usable at all.
but we are getting there...

re: "BVH to Poser" converter. For Poser 11 and onward it's just: File | Import BHV. There's a huge free library of them, cleaned and converted for Poser. https://jurn.link/dazposer/index.php/2019/11/02/ecstasy-motions-for-poser/

There was a converter which shipped with iClone 5 Pro, but the Poser profiles for it were only downloadable - and thus it's no longer viable even if you have an iClone 5 Pro installer DVD.
