Everything you buy at Rendo is going to be manual install. You download the item to your PC and install it where ever your runtime lives.I understand that. I know how to install the newer content and have a sizeable library of Genesis 3, 8 and 9 content. I can also find it just fine. But I can't locate my Victoria 4 items that I recently purchased, despite installing them the exact same way I install the other content. Was wondering if they have to be located in a different place?

Or... you can go to the runtime for your genesis content and look for the runtime in there. Though you will have to tell DAZ Studio that you have content in a Poser style directory.
V4 came out so long ago that DS has changed tons.

The Poser content is all in the Runtime folder in the zip, which usually has only textures for DS content. You merge that with the existing folder of the same name, just as you do for native content. To import the files you look under Poser Formats, instead of Daz Studio Formats, in the Content Librry pane.

Please clarify. How does one tell DS that a folder is a Poser-style directory? Seems like it could be useful. I've never heard of that!Or... you can go to the runtime for your genesis content and look for the runtime in there. There is a separate Poser category in the library. Simply direct the link to that runtime folder.

I actually know a lot about using Rendo Poser content in DS, and I am happy to share that. It's not something I want to dispense in a forum post because forum posting is limited. I'll make it a tutorial PDF that will be available in freebies. I'll keep you posted on my progress.

My tutorial is in production. Making what I do without much extra thought into a tutorial for others is a bit more involved than I thought. Hopefully, it will help people interested in using older Poser content in DS.

I completed the first part of the tutorial. It begins with discussion of file structure in DS and for Poser content. It ends with installation of a simple V4 figure for use in Daz Studio. The remaining parts will cover installation of more complex figures, outfits, props, and expansion packs, naming conventions for easy identification and use of the assets, etc. It's all building blocks, one leads to another. There's surprisingly a lot to say on the topic! I am making the thumbnail images and will submit it shortly.

I should add, this process has been a learning experience for me, too. I have discovered capabilities for V4 in DS that I did not realize were there! O_o
I guess that will end up in a later tutorial.
