Anyone know a good forum or free info source for Windows ME? (Got to start somewhere.)

Go with Win2000 instead. WinMe is a disaster.

I just got rid of ME. Running windows 2000 pro is a dream. It handles memory beautifully. Even with Poser, PSP, Netscape, icq, Eudora all open at the same time I have not had to reboot... all day long.

What's wrong with it, you ask? After two renders, my drive space is down to zero and ME will not return it willingly, that's what's wrong.

I use Wins ME and love it...I've had no troubles...I have IE 5, Zone Alarm, PSP, Poser, Bryce 4 and a few nominal programs all running at the same time and have done that all day long, many times, with no reboots or problems.....:>)

Well, I've used them all, and they all suck in greater or lesser degree on my laptop, I downgraded from Win2k as there wasn't a lot I could get to run on it properly, (games, freeware, etc.) so I installed Me, which as noted, has it's problems, so I trashed that and installed Win98, which is now toast and requires a re-install, (again!) Thank God for BeOS, that's all I can say, saved my ass every time, (every time the M$FT OS has snuffed it that is :) The question is, do I go back to Me, (with Rambooster) or sacrifice functionality for stability, and re-install Win2K? Another day wasted to rebuilding my FAT32 partitions... later jb
