Hi all, I am just wondering if it's possible to change the character that appears first when I load up poser. I was thinking of putting a female model instead of that guy. Thanks a lot.

Yes you can change the default character. Open poser and delete the poser dork :) then choose the model you want to use. Go to the edit tab, preferences, click the radio button "launch to preferred state" then click "set preferred state" and ok. The next time you launch poser the model you chose should load.

You don't have to delete the P2 figure, just replace him. I changed mine to the stick figure and it seems to load faster for me (maybe only my imagination). Melanie

Why in the world did poser pick the dork to load up in the first place? A kind of joke?

I just use a "blank" scene file that's pre-set with my favorite stuff. I double-click that instead of the regular icon, and viola! Always starts set up how I want, the lazy man's way. :-) Cheers! Mark

I do not use figure at all when starting Poser.
