Hey, i quickly modeled this in rhino and made the textures in photoshop. Carrara beautifully rendered this pic and helped me position the pieces. Feedback is good, thanks guys.

I love bowling, my fiance and I go 2 or 3 times a week. The only thing I would change is the top of the bowling pins, they are too fat and round. Otherwise, nice textures, now I want to go bowling and get away from the computer for a while.Did you make the pins in the vertex room?

Very nice! I agree with Kaom's comment about the shape of the pins, and also they're placed a bit oddly -- they should have the #1 pin in the center, with the 7, 8, 9, and 10 pins perpendicular to the direction of the track. But the textures are great and I love the idea. Would love to see an animation of the pins clattering around after the ball hits them....

No,the pins were created in rhino using a revolve function. The pins are only placed ondly for purposes of the scene, i found that placing them correctly detracted from the aesthetic quality of the pic, so i left em weird. As for animation, thats a foray im not sure if i wanna hit yet...

I think some shadows would help the overall appearance too.
