Looks very good to me. Can see I need some more lessons.

Nice, especially the shield...have you tried to see what this would look like without the the gamma correction checked in the render options?

Lunaseas, Actually, that IS with out gamma correction. :-) The first image, in the thread a few days ago, had gamma correction on. It's been a while since I worked on this stuff and couldn't figure out why everything was so washed out looking. Well, I figured out that it was the gamma correction, so I disabled it. This image is sunlight about 45 degrees above the horizon, supplemented with two, soft accent lights near the figure, one slightly redish and the other slightly bluish. Does it look washed out to you still? It looks good here. I notice that a lot of Mac images look too dark on my PC, so if you are on a Mac, maybe that's why you thought is was gamma correction on?

A problem with the character is the strange bulge on the upper arm where it joins with the shoulder. I took a quick look in poser and there aren't any morph settings applied for the uper arms or the collars, so I'm guessing it was a full body morph that didn't apply to the arms for some reason. So, I'll have to save the face morphs, redo the body and readjust the clothing, unless I can figure out which morph caused it. It may not be immediately noticable here, but from the side, it's a very noticable flare. :-( I think I'll try to iron out the textures before I get into that... As to the textures, looking at it today, I think the skin texture might have the ambient set to high, notice how much darker the unlit side of the skirt is than the unlit flesh. I'll have to see if I can lower the Ambient, but compensate for a similar skin tone in the lit area. For those thinking this looks a lot different than the same textures on their set, Bryce, first of all, makes a huge difference over pure Poser rendering. With tweaking for lighting and texture properties, I am always amazed at how good the renderer is for such a reasonably priced package. Also, the texture settings are not left at the defaults that poser would export. Once the image texture is applied to the item, I fiddle with the other settings to get the desired look, some areas have some reflectivity, metallicity, etc... along with slight bump mapping using the alpha channel for the image texture. If I get really insane with the details, I'll even make some reflectivity and metallicity maps from the textures so the gold on the skirt looks more metalic. I actually dreamed textures last night. ;-)
