Very, very nice! First time properly, eh? We have to add your name to the list of folks whose work we like!

Very nice. Since you're working on Trek characters, and especially the Vulcan, there is a thread here showing the work of another VERY well done Vulcan. Do a search and see if it'll pop up. Or you can go here and look for it, as this is the home Forum for it- http://www.scifi-art.com/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=topics&forum=Poser+/+Bryce&number=15&DaysPrune=365&LastLogin=

You know, if you made a nose morph or prop to make that girl a Bajoran (sp) it would look a lot like Ensign Ro. It's been a while since I've watched an episode of Star Trek, but that seems pretty close to her to me.

Thanks for all your kind comments. Warrior, I saw PJFs thread at the SciFi-Arts forum. In fact, it's his magnet tutorial that I messed up completely. All I got was a head like an egg timer :)) Upir, I had the same thoughts earlier today as I was checking a previous render of her. The mouth is almost a perfect duplicate. Check it out at http://www.dixie.demon.co.uk/render1.jpg. Now, how to do a good nose ridge...... I've already started on a colleague for her and hope to get something working this weekend and look forward to displaying the new crew of DS9. Commander Sisko(season 3 onwards version) is already on his way. Pugwash

Look forward to your work (and I won't say how MY attempt using PJF's "tutorial" turned out. Too embarrassing L)

Now if only I knew how to do that. I like doing trek pics too, but uniforms ARE a problem. I'm also working on a pic from another series and need to do the uniforms for THAT too. I'm going to need to find tuts on creating posable uniforms for my figures. :) Nice job. HOW did you get her arched eye brows?? Greywolf

Greywolf, Thanx, though the uniform wasn't that hard to do. Simply add a detailed texture map and bump map to the Fem Turtle neck sweater. The maps I used were 2500x2500 to allow for a more natural neck line. Turn the greyed neck and collar into a bump map and Poser will indent the area, making it look like 2 layers of clothing. Don't worry too much about getting the neck perfect as the DS9 and Voyager uniforms use 24th century zips !! I had played with the idea of using 2 different clothing items but my initial efforts came up hopeless. I'm concentrating on DS9 and Voyager at the moment but I've got a couple of TOS movie era projects in line, which will require new uniform requirements. Pugwash

Pugwash, Yep, that definately looks like Ensign Ro. If you could get that nose ridge and the hairstyle like she has in that pic it would be almost a dead ringer. I always kinda liked Ensign Ro--just because she wasn't the perfect officer that all the others tend to be. I agree with the others, that is an excellent uniform.
