I have this error in Poser 3 when I have 3 characters and 30 accessories Caught C exception :exception access-violation trapped at 15f:45016 while rendering Then I have to close Poser 3 and my rendering is lost I have a PII with a 200MB memory. what can I do to have it work? Please help, I would like very much to create pictures with more than 2 characters. With 2 characters, it works Here is enclosed the picture with 2 characters. Wicz

Sounds like you never got the update for Poser 3...that should take care of the errors you're getting. Go to MetaCreations site for it.

I want to know where your web page is :) Seriously, 2 suggestions. 1, use layers. Break your pic up into layered steps ie render u69 with the background without gwen and the post. The use that rendered pic as the background pic for gwen. 2nd suggestion, get Poser 4. It handles much larger render scenes. Also, those are my rope props from what I can tell and I know they are seriously inefficient. You may want to ditch those in favor of post process ropes ie do the ropes in Photoshop instead.

I had this problem in Poser 4 with one of the Darth Maul characters (from the fun pages, the single file one, not the one that has two files to DL). Don't remember the eact numbers, but it was a "Error: Caught C exception trapped at..."

Yeah. I had the same problem in p4 as well.

OOOhhh! Aren't we naughty?? And what bad things did we do to deserve a lashing?? Is the handsome poser geek gonna come to her rescue?? Seriously though, I agree with Mason. If you get these problems, do your pic in layers. It means having to do your rendering from back to front, which is a pain, but you can get so much more into your pic by doing this. Also, may I recommend that you "save" more often. Whenever you reach a point where you know you "might" get the error, save it, that way, you can go back to that last stage just before the error. You can always delete the many files afterwards, but you can't get back all those hours you worked on a pic, just to have it "lost" to an exception error. Happy posing, and go easy on those poor possettes, eh? Radart.

Well I got this error in Poser 3, got the patch and for the most part it went away or I could work around it by attempting to close the scene and then cancelling the close. Now in Poser 4 the C exception has reared it's ugly head again but I can't get around it. Through indirect means I seem to have found evidence that this occurs if there is something wrong in the geometry of either a prop or of a clothing figure. For example, the P4 bikini caused a C exception for me, so I reworked it by saving the top and bottom as OBJs then reconstructed the bikini using the leotard figure and replacing the appropriate body parts. I would remove each prop one-by-one until I found the culprit then fix it by resaving it as an object then importing it... Krel

Well, thanks to all of you. Mason, well thank you for the ropes, by the way what do you mean : inefficient ? Aren't they quite good to get hold of sweet Gwen ? my site is on http://www.multimania.com/wicz/index.html I don't have the problem with these 2 characters but with a 3rd one I want to add : Madame M. She wears a cape and a hood so I think Krel is not far from the truth : my props must be corrupted, so I will work on them (out of Rhino). Yes I thought about layers, and did it for trees all around the scene (see my web site), but when you want some characters to interact (in bad ways), it's easier to do it under Poser.
