How about Hatasu-Meri? It's the name of a real Egyptian princess. She was a granddaughter of Pharoah Thothmes I (3rd pharoah in the 18th dynasty), and daughter of Queen Hatashu, if that helps place her in the scheme of things.

Simply "Falconia"

Ankhmahor "the life of Horus" ... I though it could fit because of the reference to the falcon-god...

Ahkmunrah
melanie posted Sun, 03 June 2001 at 7:08 PM
It should be something people can pronounce. I think her headdress looks more Central American, maybe Mayan or Aztec. Ookami, isn't Ahmose a man's name? Maybe I'm mistaken. Seems like I've seen a Pharaoh with that name. How about simiply Nefer, which means "beautiful." Melanie

While everything looks very nice... I'm kinda curious. When exactly did the Egyptians invent knee length stiletto boots?
ookami posted Mon, 04 June 2001 at 6:29 AM
They invented them earlier in their reign... but only the Queens (Who were considered goddesses) were allowed to wear them. That's why it's good to be king... because your the queen wears knee length stiletto boots and dresses in extremely skimpy outfits!

Wow, she's awesome! Nice boots, too! --silver

Qetesh. I suggest this name for personal reasons. The Canadian Peregrine Foundation offers sponsorships for the various falcons they protect. The Peregrine Falcon I have "adopted" from them is named "Qetesh". In Egyptian Mythology, Qetesh was a kind of mother goddess -- though I have also heard her referred to as a goddess of love. I am tempted to attach a photo of the real Qetesh -- I do not think any more beautiful Peregrine Falcon could be found...but then I am prejudiced :)))))) Thanks for giving us a Protectress of all Falcons, Sharkey!!!!
sparrowheart posted Mon, 04 June 2001 at 7:45 AM
Digging a little deeper, I find Qetesh most often referred to as a "Goddess of Love and Beauty."

Thanks folks, for your name-suggestions and i'm really impressed how much names you've found for this character. It was hard to make my choice. I jumped between "Ayesha" from Mehndi and "Dayeah" from Ookami. I will name her Ayesha, can't exactly say why, but sounds nice in my ears and i think this name can be remembered. Thanks again to all. Well, then i will name her "Dayeah" which is the suggestion from Ookami. A big sorry to Mehndi, but haven't known that theirs a character from Thorne with this name. And thanks again too all for your great help. SHARKEY
