Now that we have the "Chat" feature I think it would be a great idea if Litst or someone could arrange (or try to arrange) a chat with Antoine Clappier for a set time, on a set date. If this was to go ahead, I feel that some kind of control system would be required so as to prevent a flood of abusive/ inquisitive messages targeted at Mr Clappier.

Thats a good idea, maybe litst could mod an IRC between us [Carrara users] and eovia's staff. This would be great because eovia has not really said alot about their plans for Carrara, and a moderated IRC would be a great time for them to tell us what exactly they are doing. Nebula Supernova Studios

That really sounds like a good idea :) We'll contact Eovia to see if they are interrested . litst litst.@freesbee.fr

This would be great, although I think Antoine might want to wait to release all the information after the final release of Carrara Studio. Then again it might be good PR for Eovia, and he might even be able to hype the whole release momentum even further.

At second thought, the Renderosity team and i think that inviting Eovia in the Spotlight ( see the frontpage ) would be a better idea . We could ask the questions we want, just the same . Except, of course, that we won't be bothered neither by agressive people (the questions are filtered) or by typing mismatch ! ;) What do you think of it ? litst litst.@freesbee.fr

If we can squeeze information out of Eovia, I am all up for that.

I think that the spotlight would have a better chance. I doubt that Antoine would get involved in an unmoderated chat. He has done moderated chats a few times.

To be honest, the chat at Renderosity doesn't allow to toss unwanted people off . That's why i think it's too risky : one folk that wants to make a mess, and the session degenerates . A spotlight would be a more informative and constructive event . We'll contact Eovia's PR person, and i'll keep you informed . litst litst.@freesbee.fr

I agree. I personally believe that Antione and his team are doing everything in their power to get this ship out of drydock. While I understand that many V1 users ( myself included) have experienced some frustration with the product, I would like to see a generally supportive atmosphere in which questions may be addressed. I think this could benefit everyone.
