Hiya everybody... This image was made from a super magnetized poser head, tex'd and rendered in bryce4 at 300 dpi. The text streaming out of his head is made up from two 2D planes, and I have a question for you wise Brycers... How can I maintain high resolution when applying fine detail to a plane with an alpha channel? I saved the handwriting image at 300 dpi@6x6 inches and when I put it into bryce it pixelated heavily. I ended up using a 800dpi bitmap and got pretty good results... I'm happy with the image but curious about the text/font wierdness.... D'ya think it's the font I used? Does bryce downsample hi-res pic textures to screen res?? Any ideas? Thanks much! AerilionRimRunner posted Thu, 14 June 2001 at 1:44 PM
for anything using text within bryce, I use El-Font. great little freeware app that takes text and exports out OBJ files. :)
The doctor says I have way too much blood in my caffeine system.
