Hi, Please upload your entries for the May/June contest in this thread . I've decided to open the thread early because some of you won't be able to upload their image at the end of the month . Don't worry if your image isn't ready yet, you still have the time : the contest ends on 30th June . Click on the link, or on the banner at the top of the forum page for more informations about the rules . One more thing : the winner will have to find the topic, and also will be judge for our next contest . Nope, no way to get through this ! ;) If you have any question, please ask on the forum or contact me directly at my e-mail address . Good luck ! litst litst.@freesbee.fr

This is Chris Bayliss' Demon character wading in the atoll, about to pick up a strange device that may be her undoing. (Sorry for the large size (and no box of chocolate truffles), but we compressed it as much as we could before pixellation appeared)

Homage to the oldies but goodies.... Everything was built in RDS 5.5 except the girl who was imported from Poser. Her hair, though, is an RDS object with the spike deformer. The only post production in this image is the text, which was added in Photoshop. Hope you all enjoy it!

Miss Nancy, she is typically the kind of demon i'd like to meet on a desert island ! :P Azchip, i just love tat 50s look . Man, that robot is out of fashion ! ;) Haven't got a bigger image ? Thanks for entering the contest . litst

Miss Nancy -- very cool demon. Her skin looks like mine after I've spent a bit too much time out in the Arizona sun.... Litst-- I have a larger image of the background, but not with the text. I scaled the image to this height for presentation; it's not so tall that you have to scroll to see the whole thing....

Wow! All the entries looking great so far... full of cheesy B-movie goodness. I can already tell it's going to be hard to pick a winner.

Very fun image, Rezman ! Flashy colors, just like the old Technicolor times :) Thanks for submitting the image to the contest . litst

I like that the monster has the painted on Lego smile. Reminds me of the Stay-Puff Marshmellow Man from Ghostbusters; he's destroying New York City, but he has this friendly cute face while he's doing it.

Hey twillis! I'm glad someone noticed that. I mean, how humiliating to have your city destroyed by a grinning LEGO!! :o)

Ok, Here's mine. Everything done in Carrara except the yellow lettering. I later noticed there's a model of the Space Needle on the Carrara CD but I had already built mine anyway. Good luck to everyone!

Ha! Good work, Kixum. The look in the snake's eye is positively evil!

Once again, a terrible monster is about to kill us !!! Fear, people, fear ! Well, for me i'm not scared, those monsters always forget France when it comes to destroy the world ;) Thanks for entering the contest, Kixum . litst

Hello All, Here's my entry for this month's Carrara/RDS challenge. I've been a fan of bad and not-so-bad monster movies since I was a kid, so the "B movie" concept was right up my alley. A thousand pardons for the overly-large image, but I burned a lot of midnight oil working on the fine details, and I want it to show. Here's the nuts 'n bolts... all models are original and were created in RDS 5.5 with some cross sections created in Corel Draw and texturemaps created in Corel Photo Paint. Minor editing done on the final render - added the tag line at the top; dropped in the title slab (which was rendered separately), and added green aura around same. Julian_Boolean

Well done, Julian. I especially liked the collapsing fire escape. A subtle detail, but a very nice touch! I don't think I would have thought of that.

Nice attention to detail ! You can even see the buildings at the other side of the streets in the reflection of the cracked glass of the windows ! Very nice work . Thanks for submitting your image to the contest . litst
