There is one thing that seems to allude me in Bryce, maybe somebody here can help. I can edit the properties of a light to disable it casting shadows, is there a way to disable this for the sun? I can't seem to find any property setings for it that will allow me disable it casting shadows.

Hi, Took me a while to find this too. If your using Bryce 3D double left click on the sun icon. In there you'll find a host of goodies to play with. :) Sha

I often just disable the sunlight all together. It's more work and creates longer render times, but by placing radiant lights throughout your scene you have much more control over the lighting. This works best for indoor scenes and scenes that don't show much sky. The rest of the time you've got to have the sun to light up the sky... Even in daylight scenes with sunlight enabled, I usually use radiant light sources to fill in shadows, etc... I guess that's my photographer's mind at work. -ScottK
