When I use a Lightwave model in Bryce they are imported without textures... And in most of the cases I don't know where these textures go... Any way of texturing these models properly? Tomi

Applying Textures to 3D Models in Bryce First if you have the Animation Controls open, you will need to click the globe on the bottom righthand corner to toggle to your Selection Palette. On the Selection Palette at the bottom of the screen click the arrow thats next to the small square gradient filled icon. Scroll up to Select Meshes, from here you will be able to select every single texturable mesh in any props you have loaded. Of course this can get confusing at times. I find it best to select your first mesh from the list then click the "A" and give that part a name. That way as you go down the list, you know which pieces you have already applied textures to. To apply textures, First click the arrow next to where it says EDIT at the top of your screen. This will open your Materials Palette. In the Materials Palette simply choose a catagory and select a material to use. Click the Exit checkmark at the bottom and repeat the process for each object part of the model.Anthony Appleyard posted Mon, 18 June 2001 at 5:48 AM

My utility GETLWTEX translates Lightwave models into .OBJ + .MTL mode preserving the texture mapping as far as possible. This works for projected-on mapping, not for the very new sort of Lightwave mapping that specifies UV coordinates like .OBJ format does.ledenko posted Mon, 18 June 2001 at 6:36 AM
Thanks to the both of you, although the utility helps me more as I already know how to texture object in Bryce :) Thanks anyway!
