I took some time since the last WIP to use the demo version of Rhino to create some morphs for the Victoria's Changing Fantasy Suit, to make some items fit the character's body better. No more magnets! :-) I'm using new hair, the Ponytail Hair by Kozaburo, with the texture made blond in PSP. I fiddled with the Bryce texturing settings to try to give the hair the reflectivity/specularity of real hair. It may be a little to golden, but I like it. I may up the res on the trasmap and try to fine tune the transparency at the end of the ponytail to make it a little less "fuzzy". The Abdominal plate has been added for additional protection. It's a solid, non-bending item, which is why it's oriented to the abdomen and not the chest. The Sword is temporary, I want to build my own in Rhino which will be more fantasy/European than the Katana. I do love Katanas though. This one doesn't have any credits in the .zip, but I think it came from Free Stuff here. The skin texture is Noa by SteffyZZ, by far my favorite Vicky tex. I adjusted the settings in Bryce to give the texture an appearance closer to the way it looks in Poser. I've got two areas to branch of into next, not sure which one I'll tackle first. a.) Texturing tune up. I like the way the textures tweaked in Bryce, but I want to do some bump and reflectivity maps to give the gold work a more metallic look, while leaving the rest of the textures as is. I might fiddle with some other maps for other attributes in Bryce. b.) Modeling in Rhino. I'm definitely going to try my hand at a sword for the figure, but I also want to beef up the armor a little, with out stepping to far away from the VCFS look. Some shoulder armour, maybe a piece for the upper arm? In general, I want to add some additional detail through custom meshes. Any comments/suggestions? Feedback is definitely a huge encouragement! :-) The image is Bryce4 with no post work. The scene is temporary, oh yeah, that's another step that needs to be done...
Oh wow, this armory looks absolutely cool and the reflections where perfect. For doing some swords, i recommend the rhino-command "sweep along 2 rails". With this you can draw the swords outlines and give the shape with as much as needed shape-curves. If you wanna do your additional armory you just had to name all the parts like the bodyparts (exactly). The hip must be in it ( if you didn't have a piece for the hip, you can create a small-sphere which can be the hip). The hip is needed otherwise i think it wouldn't conform right. Then take another CR2 from clothes and make a copy of it. Then load this copy in wordpad and replace the object location with the location of your new object. I think that's it. SHARKEY
Thanks for the info on conforming. I know I will want to be able to do that eventually, I've still got so much to learn and so many pieces to put together into the "big puzzle" before I can do exactly what I want with Poser and my art... I have to say though that I totally love this stuff and the community here! :-)
Wow...great job. Makes me KNOW I should ues my Rhino demo. I love this community, too. Pop...pop...Poppi!
