Iwas trying to get some more shots for my series of 'life of a lotus blossom'--VERY windy, so tough to get shot, but the lotus doesn't give a hoot and goes on with its life LOL,--so there I was. Noticed a dragonfly getting ready to light on another lotus bud. Had very little time to compose--and def. no time to focus as it was off in a sec--wind whipped it right off that blossom. I was in the right place at right time and clicked that button at the right time, since there's a bit of lag on digital cameras. However, I had it in manual focus, manual op, so the lag is much less. I just saw a fantastic macro of a red dragonfly in another forum (well, he's a pro with a digital SLR, but still....) and it puts this to shame, but I thought I'd share it anyhow. f/2.00 1/125 sec.
