I have the pz3tocr2 converter. The question is, how do you create the rsr file??

Just open the cr2 in Poser, frame the scene how you want the character to look, and then save it to your figures library again as a cr2. That will create the rsr thumbnail.

Wow! Simple. Thanks for sharing :)

You know, there are actually two types of .rsr files. The smaller one is the image that gets displayed in the library. The larger type is a compressed version of the .obj file. I only bring it up because since the Pro-Pack came out there has been some confusion concerning 3d-party figures not loading correctly when using the Pro-Pack. If you're using the Pro-Pack and are having problems getting some figures to load, check to see if a larger-type .rsr file was included instead of a .obj file. You'll recognize if it's a larger-type .rsr because they are normally well over 50K. The Pro-Pack wants to use .obj files rather then .rsr files and will not load the figure correctly. If so, get Maz's utility called RSR2OBJ from the free area to convert the .rsr to a .obj. Just adding this little bit of trivia to save someone else some time later.

Thanks, bushi, for your reply. Currently not using Pro Pack, but great information if I do and for those who do :)

I've noticed something else: Quite often Poser will balk at loading an obj file, saying it's not found, even though you can verify that it is, indeed, there. A simple fix (for me) has been to delete ALL rsr files within the Geometries folder and its subdirectories. This completely eliminated the problem for me.

That's true. Sometimes a larger-type .rsr file can become corrupt. Deleteing the .rsr and letting Poser re-build it from the .obj file is the fix, as you pointed out. That's on Poser without the Pro-Pack of course.

Delete ALL rsr files in the geometries folder???? Even ones that don't pertain to that specific .obj file?? Does that mean recreating the .rsr files one by one again??

I wouldn't delete all the .rsr files just the one for the problem figure. Having to delete the .rsr only happens on rare occasions except when using a .phi to create a new figure. Then you have remove the .rsr each time you make a change to the new figure.

I found that deleting the rsr files had no adverse affect on the way Poser ran. It also eliminated the problem.
