Ok, I admit it. I can't draw to save my life. That being said, I need someone's help with the eyebrows on this character. I need to make them white to match the hair. Now, here's the problem. This is the Vicky2 head on the P4 body. The only way the eyebrows will work is if I use the ones that are painted on the map. Unfortunately, I'm using the Vicky2 medium res map on this one. The eyebrows are brown. Can anyone out there who has this map set make me some sort of overlay layer that I can just add to the original map to change the eyebrows? I think I can manage the blending ok, I just can't draw the silly things to begin with. I've got Paint Shop Pro so I can use the layers from a psd file, no problem. Any help? Please? She looks funny with that hair and those brows. Kate the Talent Impaired

What you may want to try is to copy the brows as a seperate layer and then desaturate the color and and then try to match it back up to the skin tone, and then as as copy and see what you have and then adjust from there.

Kate, my first reaction upon seeing your lovely elf was, "What help could she possibly need with this texture?" OK, then here's just a tiny comment: people's eyebrows, even when they have white hair, are mostly a bit darker than the hair; seldom the same color, or lighter--which is why this didn't look too odd to me. Mostly, i though they were a bit too arched, but what do i know? She looks a bit surprised. The Upper Eyebrows are actually very nice to use! V2 comes with them all set properly. You can just color them the way you want in the materials dialog, and apply the transparency map, slide the transparency sliders up to 100, falloff to 0, and away you go! i wonder what she'd look like with pale grey over those darker grey brows. Pretty neat, i bet.

Ok, here's what I've discovered with all my experimentation today. The upper brows do NOT line up with the regular ones and there are TWO settings for eyebrows. EEK! I am making progress, though. I've got the upper brows showing the gray (you're right Nan, keeping them slightly darker than the hair is better) but there's still too much of the brown showing at the top and bottom. Looks like I get to try and "bush out" the map for the upper brows. At least I won't have the same problems with the eyelashes. :) Oh, and Marque, I can't really give you the texture for the hair since it's just a modification of the one that came with Wysteria from the store, but if you already have those maps I can tell you how to make the same one I'm using. three easy steps: 1. Pull the scalp, NewPrincessHair and MainHairBlonde maps into your favorite program (I used PSP7) and convert them all to greyscale. 2. Once they're in greyscale, adjust the gamma correction up to 2.00 3. In Poser, set the materials to a gray color (R,G,B 197) That's all there is to it. :) Easy, no? Kate (going back to fuss with this some more)
