"sorry for that, guys! Really! but I don't like Poser @ all, because it seems to me that it has become too easy to create characters" So then you felt it was okay to insult my work? Just because you don't like the medium, it gives you no right to insult the work of artists who use that medium... "I love demons at all and especially such succubi-likes, but it is not an art to create such things I think If I am wrong, please tell me! I never really worked with Poser so may I made a big mistake with that criticism" If you don't like my work, I can live with that. But it was how you expressed your opinion that's the problem. I for myself try to hold on at traditional art and I think there has to be a very high skill level to create for me: to model characters, especially humans some Poser user are really great, like Il Geco eg, but I got the impression that most of them are only using other-mans stuff, putting it with their minds together, adding some other poses and/or clothes, render it, draw some own hair and put their copyrights under the pic" Not everyone is an expert who can model their own props or understand all the features of their 3D programs right from the start... A lot of people here are just getting into computer imagery--- they're beginners like me... And so what if users take pre-made models and compose their own scenes? Inexperienced users have to start somewhere. I'm sure there are quite a lot of us who, when we first started in 3d imagery, started with just pre-made props and spent a lot of time simply getting used to the fundamentals of 3d imagery and the features of our programs... Even if users compose images using models made by others, it still doesn't take away from the fact that they exercised creative thought and imagination, put in time and effort and their own skill level into creating that image, bringing an idea to life... Isn't that a part of what art is? As for putting a "copyright" on an image, they have every right to do that. The models may not be original but how they are used, the idea behind their use IS protected under copyright law I believe. It's like when a composer re-arranges a musical composition. He can't claim credit for the composition but he can claim credit and protect his new arrangement of the musical piece. I think that cannot be art, except for beginners in the 3d area One man's trash is another man's art... What Poser artists do isn't considered art to you. Okay, fine... That's your opinion. But that in no way gives you the right to be insulting towards Poser artists. the word "bullshit" shouldn't be used as an offence or something like that It just expresses my deeply dislike against Poser and not against you, NUKEM! You didn't make that clear in your comment. All you said was that it was "extreme bullshit." And when you insult the work, you insult the artist as well. I would suggest in the future that you stop using English swear words in contexts where they are not needed or appropriate You cannot convince me that the word "bullshit" has a place in constructive criticism... As I said to Blackhearted, getting you permanently banned wasn't my original intention. Although I said that your ban was an "unexpected benefit", I am not actively seeking that you be banned permanently. But I do hope you realize the difference between constructive and destructive criticism and that your criticism was not appropriate... Nukem
Picture of the girl from an amateur porno page (yes, this is the whole pic). But don't judge me of this! I'm just a little freak... I looked at your work...Actually, I liked it. I didn't leave a comment. Only really negative thing that came to mind was to round off the hip area, a bit. (This is a civilized constructive remark.) I don't have 4d, but, on the whole...I like what you have done.) Ah hah!!!! I knew that woman was stuck into another "real" photo of a well, now, really, really hot looking hunk. Is this just sort of like some competition between you and Nuke?
Nukem...you have to realize...'cause you did model the tail and the wings...That some of the 3d folks out there are gonna be lookin' technical, as opposed to, just plain pretty. Hi, Poppi. Yup, I realize that and getting some technical feedback was the idea. You know, something more along the lines of... "the wing folds funny here, try arranging the joint parameteres thus, or cutting up the mesh this way..." Feedback like that... But having my work called "extreme bullshit", having it labelled as a "bad render" with "bad post work" etc.. isn't exactly constructive technical feedback... Is this just sort of like some competition between you and Nuke? Nope, Fiera had been an ongoing experiment in modelling and Poser integration before I had even seen ChaoSlayer98's demon woman. It was a toss up between a dragon-man creature from scratch or Poser Fem female demon. But since I was inexperienced, I thought I'd learn to walk first before running and try something a bit simpler... It's just a coincidence that my harshest critic of my female demon had created a female demon of his own. Nukem
Hi, I'm late. Seems to me that he's genuinely apologetic and that what we have here is a language barrier for the most part. I spent a year in Germany and I know one thing (Stereotype coming, brace yourselves...) German people come across as being less-than-sensitive when percieved by Americans (and possibly the British.) In Germany, their particular phrasing and accentuation and choice of words are totally normal and convey the spirit of the emotions behind them properly. However, to our ears it sounds harsh, patronizing, cold, or what have you. I see German people at the restaraunt all the time, and what is funny is that the more they try to adjust for this with their intonations and word choices, the more it looks like overcompensating :) That's not meant to be a dig, just an observation. As for being sensitive about one's work, I can totally relate. It's nice to see people supporting someone whose feelings have been compromized. What say we all shake hands and, wave the UN banner and call it a match? -WTB
well, German is a harsh language. But I know from experience that most german people are warm, wonderful, hospitable people. Nothing in this world beats a German cold lunch. Man, I miss those, Cold cuts, ham, salami, sausage, bread, potato salad, beer, man it don't get much better than that. Throw some mayo in there and I'm a happy camper. And german heavy metal is truly heavy lol. I remember seeing an old German man sitting on a park bench nodding his head in time to whatever music he was listening to on the radio that was sitting next to him. You would have thought he would be listening to lawrence welk type stuff. But as I got closer, I realized he was listening to Kraftwerk. Not heavy metal granted, but not old man music either. Cracked me up. Turned out he was a big fan of Kraftwerk, Klaus Schultze and Tangerine Dream, as am I. Ended up he invited me home for dinner. Very nice old man.
Talent is God's gift to you. Using it is your gift to God.

The following is supposed to be constructive criticism?? "this extremely bullshit! your alpha-map is too smooth, on the tail is no texture, the wings are not goin complain with the touch of color in this pic, where is the blood on the female body? What should this pic express? To me and libussa: NOTHING! it is just amother bad-rendered and with a bad post work not-completed pic of demon dreams... :( " -ChaoSlayer98 I was always under the impression that was what we were supposed to be doing when we posted remarks on a picture. The excuse that "I hate Poser" is one of the the lamest and inexcusably juvenile ones yet for such a crude post as the above. If a person feels they can only get their point across by going to such extremes they should not bother to post their bad attitudes and feelings on the forumsHmmm hmmm - couldn't we do what we (or most of us) are here for: Making images or something productive for the 3DWorld ???
Even the softest, meaningless thread can be long and hanging through an entire forum, it's what the thread is made of that counts, is it solid enough to hold through time or will it just hang there like some dripping eyesore. It is sometimes the quality and what you do with it that counts, not just the fact it may be long, and that ain't just catering to men neither bones, cause you know right well that women make long threads too, sometimes they can even make the difference whether the long thread actually holds up through time or just hangs there pretending to have substance ;-)

THis thread has lost its "Pop". I think it is time one of us thought of a way to sidetrack it, perhaps, to keep it going. Tasteless pics work well, as long as they are funny. (Sorry, Bloodsong...I like 'em, but, I am still a good person, I hope. Lynch mobs work, too. Just think television, to go figger this one. Sex...oh yeah, darlin....we all know what sells, but is still fun to debate it. The hot 20, Warez, just like these things are a couple suggestions of stuff you can bring up to keep this thread going. What do I know? Pop...Pop...Poppi ;)
Hey, what SEX??? I was referring to this looong, dripping, thread here and whether bone above was correct or not about it maintaining it's full erect posture through time and I merely reminded him that females also play a role in this factor of whether a thread like this holds up stiff or just lays limp and is forgotten like a flacid sausage.....sooo, where's the SEX??? Huh?:-0 Rad...rad...rad...rad...
I think it's the name of some kinda amusement park in Idaho.....I heard it has the biggest fur trees in the world and there's lots of beavers there, but last year a bunch of pricks messed up the place when they squirted their juice all over the place while banging into womenfolk on the beach...sad....can't go nowhere anymore without someone spoiling the fun....

How can we all come in here, and forget how many totally devastating things actually happen in the real world? Well, I for one don't forget or miss most of what hits the news services. The news channel is running on the tv behind me while I work, so I tend to keep current with most of the disastrous things that happen. Have you ever noticed how the news readers' smile gets wider when they have totally disastrous as opposed to just bad news to deliver? They're like lounge singers, the worse it is, the bigger the smile. I suppose they must believe that a happy smile softens the blow. Or they get some sort of perverse pleasure out of bad news. Hrrm, maybe, looking at how much good news there isn't, it is the latter. (wanders off to get more chocolate coated coffee beans)
