I've been looking at this program, and it seems to be what I want. I do have a question regarding the manual. Is it any good? I find that a decent manual makes my life a great deal easier. Also, are there good tutorials? Anyway, V4 looks really good.- Another question: there was a mention of vegetation CD's. Are these for sale? -Does Vue come with vegetation? Thanks.-FK.

Hi Fernando! Personally, I think the Vue manuals have been excellent. I haven't seen the v.4 manual yet, but I've got v.2 and v.3. The only thing they lacked was an alphabetical index, but I think an index has been included for v.4. The manuals typically have an introduction to each facet of the program, plus tutorials for many operations, and also additional tips and details. What I like best is that it's written in an "easy to read" style. For more tutorials, check the Tutorials link in the sidebar here at Renderosity. You'll find several tutorials for Vue around the web. (I don't think there are any v.4 tutes as yet.) Each version of Vue comes with several SolidGrowth plants/trees, and there is additional vegetation available from the E-on Software website. The SolidGrowth veggies are low-polygon items that are each unique, so your trees don't end up looking identical, even of the same species. But you can use regular 3D model vegetation also, and I think that would be the CDs you heard about. Hadn't meant to write a book, sheesh! Hope this answers something! :)

Not too long at all. Thanks. I realize that what I'm looking for is a complete listing of Vue's features. Went to their site. They mention new features, but a complete listing seems unavailable. Can you have multiple lights? Also, how's the UV mapping. What kind does it support? Again, thanks.

Version 4 details http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/vue4/index.htm New features in v.4 (from v.3) http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/vue4/NewFeaturesList.htm Version 3 details http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/Vue3/index.htm New features in v.3 (from v.2) http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/Vue3/Animation.htm Version 2 details http://www.e-onsoftware.com/Products/Vue2_1.htm Yes, you can use many lights, or just one, or any number between. UV mapping is supported. I've imported fully-mapped models in OBJ and 3DS. LWO is also on the import list, but I haven't used it myself. Version 4 is also supposed to import PZ3 and COB. The links above should answer just about everything. :)

One other thing about the manual, sort of. The "Help" file within the program itself, is almost identical to the manual, and just about every window or dialog that opens has a Help button which will take you top the relevant section for that particular feature. VERY cool feature! Not just that little Windows question mark thingie, but actual help. :)
