Two questions here. #1. Is there a way to make an object not accept shadows? I've been using glow a lot and under some circumstances it kinda works but that doesn't give me exactally what I want. I've created a hologram display and a forcefield that I don't want to pick up any shadows. I've played around with shadow catcher too but that doensn't do it either. #2. Is there a way to render a mask for the selected object only? My method is to change the visibility of all the objects I don't want, then render a TIFF with mask g-buffer. I'm happy with the results but I want something quicker. Related to this question, is there a way to create a semi-transparant mask? Say if you have an object with wires in the transparancy channel and you want to mask out the transparent areas in a graphics app? I've been able to do such by changing the shaders color to pure white and using the stright render but again I want a less involved method. I guess I'm lazy, but I like to say I'm efficiency-minded!
