I'm not one to boast or jump up and down screaming about my own work, I generally consider myself to be one of the lower skilled users of Vue, but this just finished rendering after 2.5 hours and I was blown away by how it actually ended up, I wouldn't have thought something as cheap as Vue (in terms of higher end packages) could produce something looking as rich as this does. I wasn't planning to put it into the gallery, it was a kinda of playtest of the new render engine. But I'm uploading it now.... God this program's good (even if it does crash a little with my set-up :-)) Opinons welcome as ever.

The new terrain painter/modeller thingy is superb, so much easier to see what you're doing and not too slow either. Jody

Amazing. Good use of the portrait format too. It's probably just a shadow but it looks like there's a little figure to the right of the top pool.

Purely shadow I'm afraid.

Wow! So realistic it's unreal! If this is what Vue4 (right?) can achieve, than damn...I can't wait a week! Were you exaggerating when you said it took 2.5 hours to render?!Holy moly! I'd better go get a good book... JoeBlack

Joe Yes it's Vue 4, it is on Broadcast setting (enhanced anti-aliasing) and the volumetric quality is on max. To give you an idea of speed my PC is 1.2ghz with 256mb of RAM. Jody
