Poking around all the models included with v.4, look what I found there! This is the Zygote eagle model, all textured and ready to add to a scene. There are a bunch of other animal models too, from Zygote, Dedicated Digital, Cache Force and others. Even people models! Very nice bonuses. :)

That's cool! I already have the eagle, but it's cool nonetheless. The Vue 3.1 CD didn't have any textures on the models, though, so this is a major improvement. Strange stuff on there though, like "Bigfoot". ;)

Hey, that's pretty cool... I look forward to using my eagle... Like a pterodactyl... Like on Johnny Quest... :)

Oh my Johnny Quest.....we are really reaching back in my time. I use to love Johnny Quest. He was so cool. Sharen

Paul, you can use the pterodactyl model for a pterodactyl. Yes, there's one of those, too! :D

F1 racing cars, Lancaster bomber, Soyuz spacecraft, Abrams tank, Killer whale, Diplodocus to mushrooms. That probably covers about 2% of the models you get. I wouldn't want to tell you about them all...you would have no surprises then ;) Cheers

Wow Varian ! As I don't have my final version of Vue4 yet, I discover by you this great eagle what I wanted since sooo much time :-) Thanks for telling us. Guitta

That's pretty! Can't wait.

bloodsong posted Mon, 02 July 2001 at 5:54 PM

hmmm.... that's funny, because i have the eagle (for poser), but not the texture map. i'll have to poke around in there. oh, the leopard is there too. and dragonfly, and a few others. a few from dedicated digital, too. oh, and a buncha vehicles if you're into those. (cars, i mean.)

tradivoro posted Mon, 02 July 2001 at 7:49 PM

Well, I won't have to improvise then... Now I have to dig up some blonde poser kid to emulate Johnny Quest... Have you noticed how cartoons have deteriorated over time... At one point we had Johnny Quest... Now we have the Simpsons... I've never watched the Simpsons... :) It doesn't capture my interest...

bloodsong posted Mon, 02 July 2001 at 8:37 PM

heyas; i see the eagle texture is by mitch, i think. and the panther textures too. anyhow, they're photo textures, not the painted zygote ones. (if anybody cares to keep score.)

Varian posted Mon, 02 July 2001 at 8:52 PM

You're going to love all the goodies, Guitta! When do you think you'll be getting yours? I think the Simpsons is more in a category with the Flintstones, but oh my the Flintstones are so much better. Whenever the Simpsons come on, I change the channel or turn it off. Very cool observation, Bloodsong! I don't have the eagle for Poser, so I didn't realize the textures weren't the usual ones. I just liked the way it looks. :)

I like the photo textures better... Look more real...

Are these the full obj models or vob's? And DAZ is just giving them away in Vue? Well I hope they are still included when I get around to buying version 4.2 or 5.1!! I think I will let you guys finish beta testing Vue 4 first :-)

Varian, I hope I'll get my copy soon. Just waiting every day at 11 a.m or the post man. Right now, 10 minutes more to wait... Let's see. I'm very exited about the final release. :-)Guitta

bloodsong posted Wed, 04 July 2001 at 7:21 AM

heyas; no! they're vob's of course. no chance of exporting 'em. but still, for use in vue, they're just like the 'real' thing. (cept you cant pose 'em.) (or maybe you can, if the groups are still there, but they won't stay welded... so you can probably pose them a little.)
