Exactly, but it will be tough I will have trouble to do air waves for bullets unless my partner has an idea. I said that it was in progress because the surrounding building are missing and other stuff. Thanks for your reply.

I've never tried air waves as you describe, but I wonder if a Bryce volumetric with an abnormal refraction might do it...

if you have adobe premiere, you could import your movie, then export as a filmstrip and load it into photoshop, then use the circle tool and either "twirl" or "ripple" filter it...only problems is youd have to do frame by frame...

Actually, if you used veamon's method described using Photoshop, then use Kai's Power Tool 6.0 filter called KPT Turbulence, which will actually put a rippling effect on the picture and can export as avi files too.

you would still have to do it frame by frame though right? that can be a hassle, i did one with just adding a lightsaber blade and glow for a 3 second clip and it took forever to draw...

Don't forgot that the camera moves, there's a refraction. I think that it should be made in 3D. I tried something with Torus and animated size and taper with a Raytrace texture and it gave me a good result. The only problem is that I have to do many toruses and animate everyone individually. Chanson, you're trick is very good, but I'm learning Max and try to do it all in Max. Thanks for helping me. I think that your advice can be use for an fixed image.
