Subject: Considering marketing a model, need advice...

For those of you who've had at least moderate success selling characters, is there any advice you'd give a newbie to this area? It's a Posette model, but it's on par with the morphs I've been doing for the past few months. I'll get around to doing Vicky models later. Some of the expression dials are going to be improved (e.g., the smile dial will no longer resemble a Greek comedy mask), the worry and blink dials will be symmetrical for a change, and there may be a few custom faces. Please, I need the benefit of your experience.

I can offer what I believe to be the success order in which things sell now. 1) Hair 2) Clothing(Vicki) 3) Clothing(Michael) 4) Animals 5) Fantasy characters 6) Vicki & Michael Characters 7) Vicki and Michael Textures 8) P4 Female products 9) P4 Male characters I know it seems low on the list, but if someone is going to invest money, they will usually do so on Vicki, Michael or something new. hope this helps, Anton

Lets see: I will buy something for Vicky, if its good. I will buy something for P4 Fem, if its very, very good. (There is much freestuff for her, including your excellent morphs :) ) I will buy nearly everything for Michael, because there isn't very much around. Do you see where my point? Hair? I did buy 5 piece in the last month. Way to much. ;)

The one on the left was the one I had in mind for sale, with a custom texture as yet unpainted. My feeble assumption was that if I could create useful, dressed medium-res characters that don't look like stock Posette/Dork, some people would part with dough to have good looking figures that render quickly. Feedback?

The cheekbones are a little severe -- she looks more strung out than appealingly slender (Posette on Crack? It could happen!!!).
