Alright, so maybe its not as hot as that. My image was shot with infrared fillm on a not so sunny day. Otherwise, it may have not been such a dramatic image. The smoke almost looks like a colorized b/w.

Ha Ha I hadn't thought of that. I took the original scan and increased the saturation and sharpened it a couple of times. Because I wanted the highlight the fire. But the way the local fire fighters were on the way. Apparently it had just started. But you're wrong You picture is that hot!!! It's beautiful. You people make me want to splurge and try out some Infra Red film. but I'm afraid that my picture will look like garbage. Bsteph

don't be afraid of infrared film. It is sooooooo cool. Just be prepared to get about 4 or 5 printable negs out of 36 on your first couple of rolls. No asa rating, but I found using an asa 50 with dark red filter gives me a little higher success rate. Bracket your shots. The cool thing with infrared is that it can make an ordinary shot extraordinary. Try it.

Dude... This is a dynamite image. Great composition, great tonality, great contrast. And in case you didn't realize it... I really like it too. Is this a scan from a print or a negative? I noticed a couple of dust specks that I would have cleaned up, but that's just me.
