This is a different shade. I perfer the red ones. But this was pretty special! I think it was caused by more of a misty dust than the more particulate dust. I think. This is very deep scientific discussion stuff good people. Bsteph

Pollution is bad....except to the color photographer.

I must say... I do like, but was hoping for a picture of something else. I've seen twice in my life the "green flash" - a time before/after sunset/sunrise (can't remember what way around it was) when there is a green glow off the horison for a few minutes... it needs really special conditions... if anybody knows them, I'd love to hear from them... I hunt trying to get a picture of the green flash.

how far north or south are you? I've never heard of the green flash, but would love to see it. The only thing I can think of would be the northern/southern lights.

Green flash is a flash just above the sun, as its dissapearing over the horison, sometimes it makes a beautiful green ray that lights up the entire area.... But I'm in NZ but they are seen world wide... even in the states...
