Hello, Does anyone know if I can make a figure with clothing and props in poser, export as an .obj file, then take that .obj into the figure setup and apply the default bones and joints? This way, I could easily make figures with clothing that conformed better, as it would be part of the mesh. If not, is there any other way to do it? I tried Mason's tutorial, but I am to dense to make it go. Thanks, Matt Baucco

That should work fine, although you'll probably need to tweek the JP's a bit afterwards. Otherwise there's the method I described in the thread linked above. Hope this helps.mbaucco posted Thu, 12 July 2001 at 4:35 PM
Hello, I followed your instructions, but the JPs get very screwed up and turning off the spherical falloffs doesn't seem to help. I tried this using the vicky 2 p4 model, by the way. The whole thing also seems kind of off center (I.e. hair props don't line up on z axis properly, figure centers seem off). Do you have any suggestions on what I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Matt Baucco

Make sure that before you export the .obj out of Poser that your figure is completely zero'd out, and doublecheck the hip and body to make sure that x, y and zTrans are all at 0.000. Hope this helps.
