This is the first time I ever rendered anything in "User Settings". Obviously this is nothing special (the materials leave alot to be desired), but it was rendered completely in just slightly over an hour in vue 4 with Superior anti-aliasing, and 16 subrays. I bet this would have taken at least twice as long in Vue 3.1.... Now, I'm not bashing Vue 3.1, but rather, I am emphatically stating, "*I am in love with Vue 4!*" I now return you to our regular programming.... :)

The materials looks very nice, Mike. The pic also. Needs just a little better composition (I mean the bonnies on the beach). But I think you wanted to test what you can get out :-) Guitta

yes, it was just a test, but I think it still ahs a certain charm about it. :) Actually, I'm more impressed with the grass than anything. Though it doesn't really look right just growing in the sand like that, LOL!

Now (again, a newcomer to vue) how'd you do the grass? Is that a simple vegetation you "grew"? Or is it a terrain? And how about the texture on it? Thanks! -Brian

Those are vegetations Brian from the vegetations that were new in version 3...I think ;). It's been a long time since I upgraded from 2 to 3...isn't that right folks? Anyway, I don't think it was in version 2, but I know it's in 3 :D. There is also an extra vegetation you can buy on the E-on website of Long Grass. It looks like long, tufty clumps of grass were the regular grass looks more like short mown grass :). Laurie

Definitely, a very nice quality... An hour is not bad... Where are the flowers from??

I think the grass and the Bonny Clumps look fantastic! Definitely can see what you mean about the clarity. My Vue 4 play thus far has been mainly with the sun flare and volumetric stuff, so this is the first "just regular ole daytime" type I've seen, and it's a great look. The grass patch and bonny clump flower came with Vue 3 and aren't they also included in v.4? :)

Bonny clump costs a little money. They are not included in any version. They was the first flowers e-on created. But every one should buy it, because you can create lots of new flowers and plants of it, change colors easy etc... :-)Guitta

Oops, shows you my memory is all confused. Thanks for the correction, Guitta! :)
