I've run across the following message a couple of times when trying to load items from the 'free stuff' section: "The file has a newer version number than expected. Poser will attempt to read anyway." Has anyone else run into this? Should I reset something?

heyas; no, this is fine. it happens if you try to load a poser 4 figure into poser 3. or a poser 4.118 figure into poser 4. or a 4.03 into a 4.118. or a pro pack into anything. ;) if/when the figure loads, just re-save it to your library, and that will set the version number to your current version. (you can also change it in the cr2, if you like; it's right at the top. labelled 'version.' :) )

I believe this occurs when you use an item that was made in the pro-pack and you only have 4.0.3. At least that is when I get it. I've not had a problem other than getting the message box, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I got it when I had vers 4 of Poser and before I got the CL upgrade to 4.03.

Pro Pack claims to be version 4.2, I believe, so it beats 4.03. But every time this has happened to me, it loaded OK anyway.

I've been getting that for as long as I've used Poser 4, even before Pro Pack came out, so that's not it. It usually happens when I use a pose or texture or something. Never figured out why. It's even happened on occasion on something I created on my own character, saved, and reused on the same figure. Go figure! Melanie
