It intrigues me that the web could hold so much moisture so easily (though I know they are very strong) and such large drops. And then small drops, like little pearls or crystals, line up one after the other down the very long thin line. I have, in the past, stood for long periods of time and watched the spiders spin their webs (not unusual since I spin and weave and watching the spiders, one gets an inkling of how the first 'spinners' came to figure this out--the Navajo, for instance, refer to 'Spider Woman' and spinning and weaving are a large part of their culture). One wonders where these particular spiders disappeared to--probably nocturnal. This is also a very very good shot, but the other is so extraordinary, Alpha. Diane

Diane... I know what you mean about how amazing they really are... I am going to go back in the next day or two and try to get them in action right around sunset. I think they start coming out then. I also had to talk myself into posting this one as the other just blew me away. bsteph... That is a chain, not pipe. If you want me to I will be glad to shoot a couple macros of this for a texture for you.

in my humble opinion, and it seems I'm the only one who holds this opinion so far, this one kills your first post. I mean, the actual physics of the first are extraordinary, but this one as a whole is much nicer to look at I think. Here we get the cobwebs in their surroundings, while in the other, we merely have the cobwebs. Plus, I feel that the angle is better at exclaiming the webbing. We also get a mad cool focus, as we can also see the webs in the background completely blurred. Great depth of field. my 6 cents. ry

Well I'd be glad to have such a texture. I was pointing it out because many people at Renderosity in general would like to have such a texture for use! Hint Hint. Bsteph
