It's good, animals, trees, the sun rays, overall is a very good picture.

Are thoses Bryce trees? If so you have done very well with the editor IMHO. One thing I think would help the scene would be to have a little more terrain in the terrain. Looks a little flat to me.

Good golly, the3dwizard, you never been to South Dakota? :) I think this is coming along extremely nicely...

Hey, I am from Oklahoma were all the trees point north. Why because the wind blows form the south during growing season and there are no hills to stop it :)

Great image! The deer look very real, and the trees are nice. Great choice of bark texture, great work! kaom

Ohmygod...!!!! Are those tree-editor trees - I GOTTA KNOW ?!?

griggs posted Tue, 24 July 2001 at 2:11 PM

Thanks glad you like the image. Yes the trees are from the tree editor, most of them are the same tree with just the randomized feature used and some trunk scaling. The ferns up front are the date palm burried with just the leaves showing. Griggs

Very cool image. How did you get the light rays? Did you use a volumetric world?

griggs posted Tue, 24 July 2001 at 2:27 PM

Thankyou douglas Yes it is a volumetric world around 26 % quality, turned off the sun and put a point light with no falloff to do the rays. Griggs

You can't call it work if you love it... Zen Tambour

Thanks for the tip. I'm going to try it. The point light with no fall off is a great tip too. The normal Bryce sun doesn't give one enough control to creategood contrast.

I live in South Dakota and there are parts of the state where it is just as flat as your image....With the deer even..... heh heh I think it is a fantastic image. ;o)
