From what I've gathered in skin-making of my own, its probably that the lips arent aligned correctly with Poser's face seams. Whether they are scaled too high, or set wrong position-wise. All I know is that the 'blood' from her lips have drained her ears white. :)

I've run into this problem as well, and the usual cause is that you have the lip section painted just a bit to wide of the mesh. Quagnon has a great skin painting tutorial online, I highly recommend it to anyone attempting a first-time texture painting. I followed it, and had my first texture done in relatively little time, with no major flaws. Look in the Tutorials section here on Renderosity for the link.

Also, please don't paint the white highlight on the lips. If we can add any moisture effects with lighting and dial-twiddling, it gives us more flexibility. Carolly

If you're using a bump map that isn't made from your texture, you also want to adjust it to make sure that the placement of features are the same on both, or you get ridges like that. By the way, you may need to adjust the focal length on the camera, unless you're after a fisheye lens look - Poser's default is set WAY too low. I use at least 100.
