Beware the tutorial from hell! The one on Page 263 will drive you crazy unless you use the fixes posted in an earlier thread. The thread's subject line is "Beware the Tutorial from Hell." It's not too far down.

Thank you Varian and thanks for the tip Jackson I will read the post. So far I am impressed. Just did the create a rock material and creating materials is much more user friendly in Vue. I heard the CD is full of goodies and I cant wait to check it out too.

Also, as Guitta pointed out, in the "Building a Sunset Atmosphere" tutorial on page 250, just scratch out step #11, because THAT one will definitely drive you nuts, as it's completely impossible to change a sky color map in volumetric mode. I was scrambling all over the manual looking for an answer, and seriously considering my installation was bad... So, avoid #11 on page 250 like the plague! Just skip to #13. It should have had more steps or tips added, such as the fog/haze color/density will have EVERYTHING to do with the lighting, as wil the light color, light intensity, fgade out...etc...

..err...skip to #12, of course. ;)
