Has anyone seen the film Final Fantasy and/or have an opinion on it?

Yes, I saw it and was very impressed with the technical detail......some of the most difficult things in 3D were done: Fire Shattered Glass Pretty fluid character movement Fog/atmospheric effects Very realistic faces, especially Dr. Sid .....and Aki is a babe, there is a site with a picture of her nude and although the hair, hands and face have greater detail I noticed it was very close to what Poser can produce... Ive just come back from the cinema oh my god The effects and level of detail were spectacular I came back and looked at all my works and suddenly i didnt feel so good my only complaint is the inherent weirdness of the story The ending reminds me of the evangelion movie ending IT DOESNT ACTUALLY TELL YOU ANYTHING

I didn't like the story too much and the lipsyncing didn't look convincing, but technically it was a masterpiece. I couldn't believe the textures and effects. It's worth seeing. I give it an 8.

Four years, 160 million bucks, technical advances up the wazoo -- and despite all that, they somehow forgot to write a good story. Pathetic. And I noticed it didn't take long for the naked pictures of Aki to show up on the net, while we have to use our imagination (as usual) with Grey.

A great technical acheivement definately one for my DVD collection imagine how good it could have been if it had an engaging and intelligent story like Ghost in the shell I give it a 8 for its eye candy appeal

I reviewed it last week... and panned it. It is a bad movie and a dreadful waste of resources. I've played computer games with better plots and more convincing characters. Find the 8 parts and assemble the foobar? Give me a break! That is NOT a story! And the cliches!?! The crippled soldier being left behind, "I'll be all right, just leave me a gun." ::gag:: The modeling is a great ad for MAYA... but who wants to pay ticket prices to see an ad for a modeling program? The animation was so-so. The bird at the end was the best. The aliens were fine. The people were hollow puppets. What is worse is that the characters did nothing which couldn't have been easily done by human actors, no stunts required. I feel sorry for all that time and energy which could have gone into creating something that no human could do: sprout wings, melt into butter, open up the android chestplate and fix a broken heart. Something special. Something more than human. I was disappointed. Carolly

Just saw Final Fantasy today. Unbelievable!! After time, you forget they are 3d. The main male character and I share first names...as crazy as Gray is. The movie kind of makes me feel a little insignificant in the 3d world, but I love doing it, so I will continue. Has anyone use the Franko Sr texture map given away for free in the poser section? I have, it is great and very real looking. later Gray

This is my first time posting in this forum, or any forum on this wonderful site, so please, be gentile. I was wondering, in regards to #1, what was the addy of the site that you mentioned. I am always on the lookout for beautifully rendered pictures and am curious to the quality of that one. Let me say that the Gallery is wonderful, haven't had a chance to post anything yet, but hopefully soon I'll have something worthy of going there. Until again, Shattered Helix (AKA Willow)
