Some great entries here, and clearly a lot of imagination and work. In the end, my vote goes to deci6el for outstanding use of light and texture.

will3ivxdude the last one (I have never entered before and if I am not allowed to vote for myself then just don't count it). I was seroiusly about to vote for the close encounters image... and then I remembered the HOURS I spent perfecting my image. Really nice work, everyone. I am not just saying that, I really mean it. -Will

#2, the Close Encounters render. The War of the worlds one is fantastic, but the Close Encounters render truly captured the feeling of the scene from the film.

There are several good ones here that I missed in the forum this month! I like chrisp2's but my vote has to go to mercutio - great idea and very nice render.

chrisp2. I'm a WotW fan, and his image captures the movie well. Besides, I liked it. :) Greywolf

Wow.. and here I thought I has seen them all.. but low and behold, there are a couple here I somehow missed. :/ Anyway: Hats off to all of you. Very impressive all the way around. 'but in the end, there can be only one'... So my vote goes to: AJTooley / Close Encounters.

chrisp2 Lots of things to wander around and look at; burning city, crispy bodies, flying saucers. Nice beam effects, was that Bryce or Post? (it was very exciting getting a couple of votes, thanks)
