I can't remember if anyone's pointed this out yet or not.... I realize that "Glow" is applied after the actual render and anti-aliasing, but shouldn't it also be applied to any rflections of the object it's applied to, also? Thanks to Varian for the Yes font! I love those "Songs of Seven" :)

Seeing the image, Mike, my first thought was wow, I love that font! It took me another second to realize it was familiar. ;) I doubt this is a bug as such, but perhaps an oversight. Maybe when they were building the Glow element, they didn't consider maybe there would be a mirror around. But I agree, it should reflect...not just for a mirror, but also in water, or glass, etc. I had the same problem in v.3 with certain point lights not reflecting. Haven't had a chance to recheck them with v.4 yet.

Point lights (in Vue 4) don't reflect *too* badly..... Glad you liked the font! :P

Speaking of fonts, before the Great Tragedy of the other day, I had some really cool Old English types of fonts. One was called Frankenstein (or something similar), and Ican't remember the others, but they were great and they were free, but in all the searches I've run, I can't find the site again, though I know it's got to still be up because I had just been there a few days ago. Any idea what site I'm talking about? Seems like every search I run for "Free Windows Fonts" ends me up in the redirect shuffle to commercial sites. :(

Hey guys, cool experiments... I have a question about lights but I'll post that in a new thread. :) -Brian

Hey Mike, every been to "Blambot"? -SMT

I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!

Try searching on "TrueType" instead of Windows. :)

These 2 sites have a lot of good fonts. They may have some duplicates. http://www.1001freefonts.com/fontfiles/main.htm http://www.coolfonts.de/index/

Hey, thanks Varina, Crescent and Steve! That's great stuff, really! I had never seen Blambot before, but I can definitely use some of those fonts and balloons. :) And varian, you are right--- never would have thought of that. But I guess you know all about this stuff, eh? :)

Uh... not "Varina"...... Varian. ;)

Hehe...and yep, I've done more web searches than I care to remember, for pretty much everything under the sun at one time or another. ;)

Hm... I had a similar problem with my glows... But the main problem is not, that the glow does not reflect - it is the fact that the glow does not mask the Alpha-Channel. When doing an animation (I sometimes have to do those boring "missile to target-animations" composited with real life video.), the missing glow in the Alpha-Channel gets to be a real pain in the a...
