You could alter the origin of the material on the X, Y and Z planes, which may result in it wrapping around the back, or out of view without changing the overall material much. Or, you could experiment with different mapping strategies, such as "faces", "spherical", etc. There's alot you could do to change this, but I would personally recommend studying the material and creating your own, based on it's bumps, color production, and color maps, as well as mixture percentages and altitude dependance, and World/Object Space.

I think it is a mixed material. Have a look at the bumps used, also look at color distribution (if mixed mat). In changing the bump function, you may take it off. If necessary try a "none" bump. Guitta

Take a look at the bump function in the material editor by right clicking on it. If it has a listing of "Lines", "Cracks", "Sparse Cracks" or anything like that, remove that part of the function. Check both materials if it's a mixed material. Also, if it is mixed, check the distribution function in the same way and remove any lines. That should fix you up. Laurie
